New Brunswick, NJ – 07/23/14 – Midsummer Night Mela: Contemporary Indian Dance Workshop & Showing – New Brunswick Hub Teen Center

Celebrate the sizzle of Summer with us!

Midsummer Night Mela is an evening of coming together and community! It combines our popular all-levels Contemporary Indian Dance Workshop with the first convergence of all the KDC Principal Dancers with the new KDC NYC branch! Both groups will be showing work informally and sharing thoughts on the creative process at the end of the evening.

Come learn some of KDC's movement style – one that synthesizes Classical Indian dance through a contemporary aesthetic. The workshop is designed to be easy to follow, fun, and a great workout.

Midsummer Night Mela is open to the public, no dance experience is necessary.

The evening is also an expression of appreciation for one of our co-founders, Ria DasGupta. She is moving across the country in August and we want to make sure she has a beautiful dance send-off.
